    Description: Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired hosts the 12th pre-season quarter and metric century ride that traverses the quiet back roads of San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Calaveras counties, including a portion of Stage Three of the 2011 Tour of California. The event supports programs that help people whose vision impairments impede their ability to perform tasks of daily living. Register online at https://www.pedalingpaths.com by February 19. Or, download a registration form and mail your entry by February 14. Fee is $40 for the quarter century, $45 for the metric century; add $10.00 day of ride. Riders must be at least 16 years of age; each rider must sign a waiver at the event. Elevation: 300/1400 ft.

    Must wear Wheelmen Jersey to get club mileage.

    Description: This ride climbs 2,990 feet over 43.8 miles. After ascending Taylor and crossing Wise, we ascend Baxter Grade and regroup near the top of Baxter at the China Well Road intersection (mile 14.5).  Returning through Lincoln, we will regroup again at the Country Harvest Bakery (mile 30). Bring enough fuel and water to last 30 miles.

    The after ride social will be in front of room 117, located by the patio and pool. There will be soft drinks, water, beer, wine and snacks available. A $10 per person donation to the host would be appreciated to help cover the cost.

    An optional way to Santa Cruz besides driving is to take the Amtrak Capital Corridor train to San Jose then ride your bike to Santa Cruz. You will need to arrange with someone to take your bags.

    Description: This route of 49 miles and 2,280 feet of climbing utilizes good bike lanes in Roseville and Lincoln moving north, travels on Wise Road to the outskirts of Auburn, regroups at Newcastle Produce (mile 33), descends Taylor, and then returns to Roseville on bike lanes through a residential and urban environment. No water between McBean Memorial Park in Lincoln (mile 15) and Newcastle Produce.

    Description:  The 2020 Oregon Tour will be held from Sunday, July 26th to Saturday, August 1st.  The days before and after these dates will be commute days to the starting point at the Glendale, OR High School.  No layover day this year so we 7 days of riding.  We will try something different this year.  We will have 2 nights in motels in Cottage Grove and Coos Bay.  We will have the hotels block a number of rooms for our group and therefore hopefully a discounted rate.  Every rider will be responsible for their motel costs and the dinner that night and the next morning’s breakfast.  The other days will be as our prior Oregon Tours with 3 meals/day included and drinks (beer, sodas & wine).  All campsites will have showers.  The route goes from Glendale H.S.>Myrtle Creek H.S.>Glide H.S.>Cottage Grove motel>Elkton H.S.>Coos Bay motel>Powers State Campground>back to Glendale.  Cost is $325.  Don’t miss out on the fun.

    • Gabicce Mare on the Adriatic Coast

    Description:This is the latest on Gabicce Mare.  The
    trip is for 3 weeks, but you can also go for only 2 weeks.  Dates in Italy
    are Sept 14-Oct 5th. If only 2 weeks 14th-28th.
    This is much more activity than previous years.
    The cost will be approx $925 per week. This does includes 3meals/day plus
    happy hour, everything except airfare.  More precise information  on the
    other hotels and activities will be sent out to those interested.

    1st week (Romagna)

    DAY 1: you will arrive at Venice or Bologna airport and  we will drive you
    by coach to Fratta Terme (Forlì).
    You will stay at the Grandhotel delle Terme, where you can relax in the
    thermal pool
    At 7:00 p.m. welcome drink and presentation of the first week's program
    Dinner in hotel
     DAY 2: after breakfast, delivery of bicycles and departure of the tour to
    S. Marino. You will cycle on  undulating paths , following secondary roads,
    without traffic, going up and down  the hills of Romagna where you can
    admire beautiful panoramas.
    Stop for lunch in a typical Osteria  and after riding 68 km, with an
    elevation gain  of mt. 1.365, you will arrive in S. Marino.
    Overnight stay, dinner and breakfast in a hotel in the historic centre.
    DAY 3: after breakfast, we will ride  to Gabicce Mare
    The route is 52 km, with an elevation gain  of  approx 836 mt.
    Lunch and dinner at the Alexander hotel.
    DAY 4:  BORGHI E CASTELLI (from ROMAGNA)
    You can choose among  4 tours from 50 Km to 80 Km; elevation gain between
    mt. 500 and 1.100.
    Lunch and dinner at the hotel. After dinner: live music at the bar.
    DAY 5: REST DAY
    Day dedicated to the sun & beach. We will take you on a boat trip (cutter)
    with departure from the beach of Gabicce Mare. We will sail to Riva di
    Focara. Anyone  can swim, then we will return to the beach for our Beach
    Party

    DAY 6: TERRE DEL DUCA (URBINO)
    you can choose among 4 tours from 60 Km to 90 Km; elevation gain between mt.
    870 and 1.250.

    DAY 7: GRADARA &  THE PANORAMICA
    You can chose among 4 tours from 45 Km to 75 Km; elevation gain between mt.
    530 to 910.
    With the whole group we will stop at the Granarola Castle for a funny Pizza

    2nd  week (Marche)

    DAY 8: after breakfast , transfer by bike to Senigallia . Distance: km 83 ;
    elevation gain 1.125 mt.

    You can choose among  4 tours. Distance between  Km 60 and Km 80; elevation
    gain between mt. 670 and 940.

    DAY 10: after breakfast , transfer to the monastery of  Fonte Avellana
    (Eremo) .
    Distance  Km 98 ; elevation gain  mt. 1.386

    back to 980 ( 10th  century d.c.)

    DAY 11: after breakfast , transfer to Montalfoglio. Distance km 58 .
    elevation gain  mt 1.095
    Lunch in a typical Osteria (Locanda S. Martino). Transfer by bus to Gabicce
    Mare.
    Accommodation and dinner at Alexander hotel . After dinner : live music at
    the bar
    DAY 12: REST DAY
    At 11:00 a.m. departure by touristic train to Fiorenzuola di Focara; visit
    of the little village and pic nic in the vineyard, to experience the grape
    harvest at the Tenuta Carlini.
    Return  scheduled for approx.  4:00 p.m.

    DAY 13: LINEA GOTICA TOUR

    we will continue  our itinerant tour by bike . we will cross the Apennines
    and after km 78 and mt 1.380 of elevation gain  you will reach Touro on the
    Trasimeno Lake
    Stop for lunch in the gorgeous village of Cortona
    Accommodation and dinner in a splendid villa dating back to 1.400 .
    DAY 17: after breakfast , transfer by bike to Assisi . Distance  Km 65 ;
    elevation gain  mt. 1.076
    Lunch in a typical Osteria. In the afternoon, you can visit its important
    historical centre
    Accommodation and dinner in a country house
    DAY 18: after breakfast , transfer by bike  to Gubbio and to another
    historic town in Umbria.
    Distance km 52 . elevation gain  mt  976.
    Lunch in a typical restaurant and return by bus to Gabicce Mare .

    DAY 19: RELAX & SHOPPING
