Both routes start in Gold River in front of Rite Aid and head to Roanie's Coffee in Penryn, following familiar roads in Orangevale and Roseville. The return will take us through Val Verde, Rutherford Canyon, and Barton roads. The long route will turn onto Rocklin Road, climb Sierra College Blvd, and descend via Secret Ravine and Miner's Ravine trails, eventually returning to Gold River via E. Roseville Parkway, Fair Oaks Blvd, and other roads.
The medium route is 5 miles shorter than the long route and has 500 ft less climbing. It continues straight on King Rd to the coffee shop and bypasses Sierra College Blvd and the trails on the return.
Riders should come prepared with the route navigation tool of their choice. Navigation through Garmin or your smartphone is recommended. The ride leader will not provide printed cue sheets. Also, please stay alert to traffic and ride single file to ensure vehicles can pass safely.
