Description:  Starting in Cisco Grove, we'll follow Donner Pass Rd  (old highway 40) over Donner Pass and around the south side of Donner Lake.  Planned break at Wild Cherries Coffee House, 11429 Donner Pass Rd, Truckee, CA 96161. The short ride turns around here. The medium and long rides proceed through downtown Truckee, turn left onto Bridge St and right onto the Trout Creek Trail. At the top of Trout Creek, the medium ride turns left onto Northwoods and returns via Donner Pass Rd. The long ride turns right and continues up to the top of the Tahoe Donner development before returning via Northwoods and Donner Pass Rd.

UPDATED INFORMATION:

Trout Creek Trail is temporarily closed due to construction going on in the area. The previous medium and long routes are eliminated and replaced them with a new long route (below) that avoids the Trout Creek trail. Both rides start and end in Cisco Grove, just off of I 80 (take the Cisco Grove exit off of 80 and turn right). Park in the dirt lot below the Chevron Station. Socialization at 8:30. Pedals down at 9 am. Coffee Break at Wild Cherries restaurant, located on Donner Pass Rd in Truckee (at mile 21.2 on the cuesheet). It may be cool in the morning, so dress accordingly. Rain cancels (its monsoon season).
