Families First Bike Assembly

It's that time of year again and we have been requested to assist Families First in assembling bikes for the annual Foster Santa event. As you may know, we have been participating in this public service event for the last six years. It has been an admirable effort on the part of the Wheelmen and is greatly appreciated by those we help.
This years build should be about 200 bikes and I'm sure that with the support you have given in the past, we should complete in one day. Quite unlike the past several years, we have been given enough notice so that everyone can get it into their schedule.
This years build date will be Monday, Dec 8th. We will be in the same facility that we used last year which is the Davis campus of the Families First school, 2100 5th St, in the multi purpose room. We start at 9:00 am and will take all day(200 is a lot of bikes). Lunch will be provided!!  We need all the help we can get, so don't think you don't know how to assemble a bike. There will be a job for everyone for sure. We can't have too many people, it's not possible. Bring the appropriate tools and whatever else you may need. Those of you that have participated in past years know that this is a real "feel good" event.

The bikes will be distributed to the kids at the Foster Santa party on Dec 17th at the California Auto Museum on Front St in Sacramento. We will need a few people there to do final adjustments for the kids after they receive their bikes. Everyone is invited to attend if you wish. I don't have the time for the party yet but it normally is around 7:00pm. I will know by our build day. Let me know if you have any questions.
Please let me know by e-mail response that you will be able to make it. I extend my thanks in advance for your willingness to participate in this very worthwhile event. I will see you there!!!
