Join the Sacramento Wheelmen for an evening BIKE AND BREW and a VERY BRIEF general club meeting.
Format
A casual bike ride along the American River Bike Trail and following designated bike routes through town will precede the general membership meeting. Route maps and Club sweepers (rear guard) will be provided.
Route
The route will take us through the Sac State campus and proceed down the American River Parkway trail to Discovery Park. From Discovery Park, the ride will proceed down the Sacramento River bike trail, cross over I-5, and pick up T Street near Southside Park. The route will follow T Street to 59th Street and return to the Hoppy Brewing Co. via 59th Street and Folsom Blvd. Route maps will be provided.
Time
Arrival: 5:30 PM. Pedal Down: 6:00.
Pace
Casual (12 – 14 mph). NO ONE WILL BE LEFT BEHIND!
Safety
BICYCLE HELMETS MANDATORY! In addition, the ride is scheduled from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. While we anticipate adequate daylight, all participants are encouraged to wear reflective clothing and/or have reflectors or lighting on their bikes.
