Don’t Be Afraid – October 3rd Enduro
We have a very special Enduro planned for October, the Slug Gulch Special. It’s tough but not too tough – don’t be afraid.
There are three routes: short (36.7 miles), medium (45.5 miles), and long (59.6 miles). The short route does not go up Slug Gulch. It's a bailout route for anyone who doesn't feel up to it. Note that there are places to refuel before the Slug Gulch climb: Mt. Aukum Store (mile 11.2) and Gray's Mart (mile 16). The official regroup spot is Pioneer Park (mile 16.2) at the rest room and drinking fountain there. All three routes are together for the first 19.7 miles. At that point, the medium and long routes start up Slug Gulch and the short route continues on Perry Creek Rd.
