Description:     Sept. 30 - Oct. 2. Lite-loaded ( no sag ) three days 134 miles cycling from Monterey Amtrak bus stop to Adeliade Inn, Paso Robles .On Saturday, Sept.30 we will take 6:10 am train from Sacramento to San Jose & connect to Amtrak bus that arrives in Monterey at 12: 05 pm & ride 54 miles to Lucia Lodge on scenic Hwy 1. If the new Pfieffer Canyon Bridge is not open, we will carry our bikes up the 1/2 mile bypass footpath that starts in Pfieffer-Big Sur State Park. On Sunday, Oct.1st, we will ride 31 mile on Nacimiento Fergusson Road to Fort Hunter Liggett & stay at the historic Hearst Hacienda Inn designed by Julia Morgan. You can not enter the Fort without a printed reservation from the Inn. Nacimiento Fergusson Road is the only open route due to the massive Mud Slide on Hwy 1 south of Gorda & the first seven miles is a steep 2800 ft. climb. On Monday, Oct. 2nd, we will ride 49 miles to the Adeliade Inn in Paso Robles & will take Amtrak home on Thursday, Oct. 5th. after Zodiac rides. Additional baggage transport to Paso Robles can be made by pestering the Zodiac ride leader & other attendees . Contact the ride leader if you wish to join.
