Description:   
 Join us for a fall Zodiac in the Truckee and surrounding areas from Monday Sept 25 to Thursday Sept 28.  We will be staying in a dormitory style facility with large kitchen, great room and deck. • The lodge fee is $10/night/person plus a refundable $10/per person cleaning fee. Bring sleeping bag, pillow, towel and personal items. Cleanup Required. Food and beverage costs to be shared.  For those who may prefer to not sleep in larger dorm style rooms, there are hotels nearby.  Day trippers also welcome.              Day 1, Monday, Sept. 25                Ride begins at 1:00 in Truckee. 17 miles, 1225’climbing through Tahoe Donner with a 14 miles 1,000’ extendo up old Donner Summit. Cocktails and dinner on the deck.
Day 2, Tuesday, Sept. 26                Ride begins at 9:00 in Truckee. 43 miles, 2000’ climbing over Brockway Summit with a 20 mile, 2800’ extendo up Mt. Rose. Cocktails and dinner on the deck. Note: A relatively flat, 35 mile option riding out and back along the Truckee River is available.
Day 3, Wed,       Sept. 27                Ride begins at 9:00 in Sierraville. 55 mile, 4300’ climbing over Yuba Pass and Gold Lake Rd with a 17 mile extendo around the Sierra Valley (total elevation 300’ less). Note, a 40 mile    relatively flat ride around the Sierra Valley is a third option. Dinner out in Truckee.
Day 4, Thurs,     Sept. 28                 Mt. Bike ride/hike option beginning at 10:00. Both the mountain bike ride and the hike would begin at the intersection of the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) and Brockway Summit (SR 267). The hike goes east, 10 miles round trip, 1660 ‘ elevation. Destination is the Martis Peak fire lookout (great views). The mountain bike ride goes SW to Watson Lake (six miles) and then NW to Truckee via the old fire road. Total ride 23 miles, 1,660’ elevation gain. Shuttle back from Truckee to Brockway Summit to pick up vehicles. Cleanup lodge and go home.
